If you or one of your Belgian relatives dies in the Philippines, some steps must be undertaken:
- immediately request for a police investigation and an autopsy in order to identify the cause of death and proceed with the issuance of a death certificate;
- decide what to do with the deceased's remains (repatriation of the body or ashes to Belgium, or burial in the Philippines).
